Overnight Oats
Ingredients:
1/2 cup organic oats*
3/4 cup cashew milk or your favorite milk
1 Tbsp ground flax seed
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp real maple syrup
sprinkle cinnamon and/or cardamom
Fresh or frozen fruit: fresh peaches, frozen sweet cherries, or even a frozen organic berry mix is wonderful in this!
Slivered almonds or pumpkin seeds for serving
Directions: Add all ingredients to a mason jar and shake! Tip: add a shaker bottle mixer to the mason jar for extra mixing power! When ready to eat, shake, add any desired nuts/seeds, and eat cold or heat up. I prefer to make the night before and eat it cold in the summertime!
Non-organic oats contain the highest level of residual glyphosate, make sure to buy organic.
Oats can spike blood sugar, for long lasting energy throughout the day, make sure to add some flax/chia/nuts for extra fiber and protein!
